Yesterday, our doe, Belle, gave birth to her first son, Stitches. So named because I ended up with 5 stitches yesterday trying to make him a sweater to wear.
I brought them both into the garage instead!
This is Stitches, Castle Argghhh!'s newest addition:

And here is Belle, his mama:

AWWWWWWW!!!! Now THAT is CUTE.
(5 stitches, eh? Trying to give John a run for his money in the “I bayonetted myself” department??)
Awww, so cute! Stitches is my new desktop!
5 stitches? I think you left out the most interesting part of the story!
“…trying to make him a sweater to wear.
I think it’s far more disturbing that she was trying to make a sweater to wear out of Stitches…
He’s adorable. Congrats, Grand-maaaaaa
He’s DARLING. Congratulations!

Actually, I’ve been trying to figure out why a goat would need a sweater, since she said she was making “him a sweater to wear”, not making “him INTO a sweater to wear.”
Well, it was below freezing when he was born, and Angora goats, in particular, are susceptible to hypothermia.
Often, a breeder will cut off the sleeve of an old sweater or sweatshirt, cut a couple of holes for front legs and the baby goat can have a little sweater to help keep him warm for a few days, until his system has adjusted.
I could not find a scissors, despite the fact that we must have 40 pairs of scissors around somewhere, so I grabbed my rotary cutter - big mistake, and I cut my finger like it was going to be a quilt square.
And that’s why I have 5 stitches and the little kid has his name.
What a cutie! Hope you are recovering well.
Stitches is soooo cute!! Hope your recovery is going well :o)
Aw, he’s a li’l cutie.

Good thing he didn’t get my ears. Come to think of it, I think he’s got Murray’s ears…
Well, it evens out then, cuz in the e-gram exchange, you got Murray’s goat…
