I spent a couple of days with them, and I can tell that Ashes is a great mother, and Andy is a great father. Babies are soooo precious!
Back at the farm, it is time to start shearing the goats. I am going to build a goat fitting stand today and tomorrow, and hope to start shearing on Wedensday. Hopefully, my good friend Robin will come and help. It should be a lot easier with the stand.
I still have fleece from last fall to be scoured, dried, picked, combed and spun. Then, I will start selling it on-line at my etsy.com store, along with more photos and notecards.
And, I'm still doing work at the old house.
Spring is on its way! This is busiest time of year for me, it seems.
Anyone want to help with shearing, let me know!

I’ve never been around for goat shearing but I’ve seen them do sheep. I DO NOT envy you on this particular farm task! But I have heard that goats are harder to do but they’re more mellow about it. I can’t wait to hear how it goes for you!
I will try to take pictures. If I can find the charger for my video camera, I’ll put it on youtube.
Should be good for a laugh!!
Congratulations! You’re way too young to be a grandmother, but I’m happy there’s a new addition to the clan!
Hi Beth, Ching here…OMG Andy is now a dad? Congratulations on grand-parenthood!
Ching!!! How are you? Yes! Andy is a dad! He is 23, almost 24, so I guess that’s about normal. Just seems like just yesterday that he was a kid!
Hi Beth! Sorry it took so long to write back! I’m at Ft. Benning going through army officer basic course..I’ll be here for about another 6 more weeks and then I’ll be headed to Ft. Huachuca for about another 4 months to finish out the MI officer’s course….I’ve been putting this off for too long. If it’s in God’s will, maybe by the time that I’m a major I’ll be back at Leavenworth! Sorry to hear about Resttop….Ramen dog is still with us and he’s getting old..gosh, we are all getting old!
