I don’t know how many of you are aware of the ridiculous crush that the New York Times’ Thomas Friedman has on the Republic of China, but for months now, he has been rambling on and on about how much better China is than the USA. He has wished that we could be an authoritarian country for just one day, and that way, the US Government could control all of those nasty things that politicians fight about.

On November 30th, Friedman wrote another column praising the superior Chinese Way of Government. .

Do go read the whole thing, I’ll wait.

Now, go read Pejman Yousefzadeh’s excellent Fisking of that column.

Pejman gives me hope that good blogging is not yet dead.

Jeff is a very talented blogger and writer. I have been reading his blog, “Protein Wisdom” for years.

Brian Kiteley,a smarmy, novelist/University of Denver Professor, objects to Jeff’s “About” page, and does not wish to be associated with Jeff because Jeff is just too much into the whole free speech thing.

Which makes me wonder. Would you send your child to the University of Denver to be taught writing by a prof who doesn’t really believe in free speech?

I have not been blogging a lot lately. I’ve been reading and commenting on blogs, most especially HillBuzz. HillBuzz is a group of Democratic gay guys in Chicago who worked very hard for Hillary Clinton’s campaign, and when the Democratic Party screwed her by giving Clinton’s delegates to Barrack Obama, the guys at HillBuzz were pretty damned upset.

The HillBuzz Boyz had been very active Democrats. They had railed against Republicans and conservatives like most Democrats, but after Hillary was thrown under the bus by the Democrats, these young men took another look at the Democratic Party. They did some soul searching, some serious soul searching, and realized that “The Left” was mean, petty and even bordering on evil, and had pretty much taken over the Democrats.

So, they decided to reveal the nastiness of the Democrats. In fact, the HillBuzz Boyz even supported Sarah Palin and McCain against Obama.

I learned about them when they wrote this: Thank you former President George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush I was so moved by their post, that I became a daily reader of their blog. I comment there a lot. You should read them, also.

The HillBuzz blog was instrumental in helping Scott Brown get elected in Massachusetts. Every day, the guys had several new posts with suggestions to help his campaign. I even gave Scott Brown a donation because of HillBuzz. Many of their readers got on the phone and helped Scott Brown win by calling voters in Massachusetts. They really created a huge groundswell of support for Brown.

But “The Left” (The Democratic Underground and the Daily Kos) were unhappy with the success that HillBuzz was having in regards to the Brown Campaign. They have threatened the HIllBuzz boys with their livelihoods and even their lives. And now, they have made good on some of those threats.

They have outed the owner of the blog, and are falsely calling him a racist - of course, to the Left, any of us who disagree with Obamamania are racists, but this has caused this young man to lose income. He is losing clients in Chicago due to the outrageous libel of the leftist blogs. Cynthia Yockey has details - please, do go read her blog!!!

I would love to see some lawyers offer there services to HillBuzz and sue the pants off of the owners of Daily Kos and The Democratic Underground.

At the very least, start reading HillBuzz and please consider donating some money to them. They are fighting the good fight and truly sacrificing to do that. They are teaching conservatives the secrets of the liberal political Chicago machine.

How was your weekend?

John and I spent our weekend travelling to Columbia, Missouri to retrieve some special things of his dad’s before the household goods are all auctioned off.

We rented a U-Haul truck, and brought back some tools, some very pretty dishes and crystal, some furniture and a lot of model cannons that his dad had built through the years. There was awful fog driving there and then returning home.

That was Saturday.

Yesterday, we took our old king-size bed and some of the furniture from John’s dad’s house to our son, Andy and his wife, Ashes. So we drove to Manhattan, Kansas in the U-Haul. We spent precious little time with them, as I was concerned about getting back - but the darn fog got us again, and only because John is a super good driver did we make it back safely in that soup.

Today, I’m driving to Lawrence, Kansas to a yarn shop to look at and try out some of their spinning wheels, as I need a wheel I can transport back and forth to the farmers market more easily than my Ashford Traditional.

I probably started 10 posts in my attempts to show how The Futurist’s “Misandry Bubble” post is filled with dubious facts and figures, but the absolutely ridiculous length of his post and the many contradictions within his post made it such a tedious task, that I would give up after a few paragraphs.

Thankfully, there are much smarter women out there, with much more stamina than I have.

Cassandra has graphs, charts, rebuttals and more stamina than I’ll ever have!!

Please, do go and read her take down of this misogynist, The Futurist.

Obviously, the guy who writes this crap has had a difficult time with women.
You see, it’s all the fault of women that Western Civilization is in Decline.

I would tell you to go read this essay of his - “The Misandry Bubble”, but few people I know who have real relationships and real jobs and real lives have the kind of time it takes to slog through his really bad writing.

But feel free, if you have a few hours.

I shall warn you, not once, not twice, but many times - the statistics he uses are apparently made up. I just fact-checked a couple of them and found him to be off by 20 to 30 percentage points from real statistics.

I attempted to leave comments there 3 or 4 times, but each time, my comment disappears in seconds.

Apparently this guy and his band of brother wimmen-haters can’t take criticism.

Mind you, I’m not a feminist. I am pro-life. I think it is important for a mom to raise the kids, etc., etc.

But this guy’s panties are all in a bunch because he thinks that birth control, women’s rights and his belief that men are unable to control their animal urges to copulate with all females are the reason that the US and Western Europe will fail.

If I have time, after doing my chores around the farm, etc., I will, over the next few days, fisk this piece of shit essay paragraph by paragraph. Perhaps I’ll be able to get Instapundit to link to my arguments since he linked to the essay to begin with.

Again, what a bunch of bullshit. And, I totally understand why this guy doesn’t write with his real name - what an embarrassment!

Here I go again

I just felt the need to start a blog where I can talk about politics without necessarily offending a lot of the artsy-craftsy types who may or may not read my other blog,The Farm at Castle Argghhh!

Twitter and Facebook both seem to be very limiting, yet way too time consuming, especially those darn games, like Bejeweled Blitz, that suck me into the vortex.

So, after much hemming and hawing and procrastination, I bring you,She Who Will Be Obeyed II (The Second Coming). Please don’t be offended by the title of my blog. I think it’s kinda funny.

You can expect to read a lot of ranting about the current state of political stupidity, the media, the global climate fearmongers, the idiots who think that socialism is the way of the future, and anything else that makes my blood pressure spike unacceptably.

I’m also considering reviving the Carnival of the Recipes, which I began some years ago, and eventually turned over to other people who turned it over to other people who turned it over to someone who quit doing it. I definitely will need input on whether anyone has any interest in eating food anymore,or sharing ways of preparing said food with readers of my blog.

My latest interest is spinning. Not spinning bicycles (shut up you fitness geeks) but fiber. Mohair, wool, and other interesting fibers. So I’ll likely write some about that, too.

Wish me luck!
