Rattlesnake

It was a cool enough day that this guy was a bit sluggish. I was taking a walk and noticed him about 6 feet away - I went no closer and depended on my trusty camera to get as good a picture as possible.

I was not sure what kind of snake it was, but John looked up the markings and it is some kind of rattlesnake native to that area.

Hi! It's Me again!

Mom asked me to step in again today, 'cuz she's so busy doing training stuff there in Oklahoma City. Whatever 'training stuff' is.

I'm a leetle skeptikal, myself. I heard her talking to Dad last night and she was just all on 'bout how many rester, ah, restie, oh, restyrants (whatever those are) and how good they were, in Oklahoma City, wherever that is. I think I drove through it once, going to visit Daddy once... all I 'member iz it wuz hot and Mom gave me ice cream!

There's even supposed to be something like a "good seafood place" downtown. Now seafood I could get into... well inta me, anyway.

Since she gave me the keys to this place, I went rummaging around. Looky what I found!

It's too bad you can't accept a man who has the courage to believe in one God. You sound like a godless feminist, in support of Satanic Orca Winfrey, tasteless trash like Team America, linking to racist, prejudice hatemongers like allahpundit who support carpetbombing civilians and apartheid, and make ignorant claims that "iraq is in the hands of iraqi's" (why are there 100's of 1000's of foreign troops bombing the country and killing over 100,000 civilians then? --- that figure is from the lancet, the most respected medical journal in the world).

Our culture here in North America is in decay, and God and family is at the heart of it. Why do American teens have more sexual partners than anyone else anywhere in the world? Why are churches in every major city now nightclubs? Why, as Oprah suggests, should married people who discover they are gay be "congradulated" (Kerry cribed this from her)? And why is the divorce rate 60+% ?

Because of people like you who accept Satan into your life; perhaps not directly, but by tolerating Oprah and rejecting God-fearing men like Cat Stevens.

The true "dark side" is Godlessness.

I dunno, wingnut. I think the true "dark side" is thinking that Islamofacism is preferable. But hey, I'm a girl cat, so whadda I know, right? I know where I'd like to do some claw-sharpening.

And based on your comment - you sure don't know my momma! She'd kick yer ass in a heartbeat, so hard and so fast you'd cough your dangly-thingys up like a hairball!

My first Asian Lady bug

Took the Spare Dog out to play with the regular dogs in the back yard for awhile, and they all romped and raced and had a good old time. After I went back into the house to throw some laundry in the washer, I felt something on the back of my neck - I slapped my hand there, and an Asian Lady Bug fell into the washer.

Now, if you have not been keeping up with DC's beetle travails, you should go check out her pictures of these pests.

This seemed to be a problem limited to more northern climes than Kansas, so I wasn''t too worried.

After being attacked by one this afternoon, though, I'm starting to get worried!
