Clarification on house sizes
Our current house has about 2600 square feet of living space - that includes the finished part of the basement. Our farm house has 1300 sq feet of living space - not including the basement at all - the basement is unfinished.
We are going to finish the basement just for John's toys. So that will probably bring us back up to 2000 sq feet or more.
And really, with a huge barn, part of which is finished, and I think I'll add another wall or two - I can put my hobby stuff in there.
Our current house it loaded to the gills with furniture (from my old house, things from my parent's home, and all of the stuff John had before he met me).
It's daunting. I honestly have no idea where to start!!!

Well, I may build an office down in there, too...
Or a spare bedroom, in case Andy ends up having a passel of kiddles.

It's difficult, I know. We started out in a 3000 sq.ft. house and after 3 moves now live in a 1500 sq.ft. home... with a ONE car garage.
We downsize every single move. I'm surprised I've got anything left, frankly.
Yard sale? eBay? Family and friends? Been there, done that... and don't envy you in the least. Hang in there!
