Attention all newly-elected Democrats
If you want to be elected for a second term, there are some things you are going to have to do.
1. Stop bashing Christians.
2. Accept the fact that the 2nd Ammendment means that citizens get to own firearms.
3. Keep our taxes low - do not pretend that 'rolling back' a tax cut is *not* a tax increase - it is.
4. Do not try to put price controls on things like gasoline. It's been tried before, and it was a miserable failure. Much like this Congress will be if it thinks that the country has turned liberal.
5. Limit abortions. Quit fighting for abortions until the last few minutes down the birth canal. Be reasonable. I think many people would accept legal abortions if you don't allow them after 4 or 5 months of pregnancy.
6. Do not try to control speech with 'hate speech' laws like they have in England and Canada.
7. Do not mess with our Constitution.
8. Do not spend the next two years having hearings about how much you all hate Republicans.
9. Be smart - we are in a Global War on Terrorism, and waiting for the US to be attacked is not the way to fight it.
10. Let our soldiers fight a war. Forget the PC bullshit.
11. Don't betray Israel.

I'm guessing you won't be voting Democrat in 2008, however.
