Weapons of Mass Destruction

Found in Iraq.

500 WMD.

Take that Moveon.org!
Take that Michael Moore!
Take that KOS and the DU -

and shove those WMD where the sun don't shine - in your brains!

And at least some of my cotillian friends agree!

Moving goal posts will appear momentarily:

They aren't enough to be "stockpiles"
They are old and don't count; had to be made around 2000 to count
they are old and no longer effective
They are not a nuclear weapon ready to fire
They are not a hidden nuclear plant
Since we didn't find the bio-weapons plant that made them, ipso facto they can't exist
Since we didn't find them when we first invaded and the terrorists had plenty of opportunity to get them and use them on us, but didn't, ipso facto they must not have wanted to get WMD and use it on us so their association, if any (disregarding the hundreds of memos that have been recently translated saying it existed because they were translated by amatures), was not a threat thus Saddam was not a threat and we should never have invaded.

Okay...the tin hat is making my head hurt. I just wanted to beat the trolls to it. LOL

chemical weapons are assessed to still exist.
Could be sold on the black market.
Most likely munitions remaining.....
groups desire to acquire and use....

Assessed means to evaluate or estimate.
"could" and "most likely" are possibilities like I could hit the lottery or that team will most likely win.

I also "desire" to be rich but what are the chances?

What part of this pdf you reference is fact? this is all conjecture. I support my brother in the military but I also know how to read political crap when I see it.
Get a clue!

Welcome to the world of how intel assessments are written, and from which conclusions drawn and decisions made.

Get a copy of Cobra II, Dave. Written by people not favorably disposed to the President or the war, but who have managed to write a pretty good first draft of the history of the war to date. Chapters 1-7 will suffice.

Up until December 2002, Saddam's Generals thought he had WMD, and it took Saddam some doing to convince them there was not any usable stuff available.

Note my caveat of usable.

We have discovered the vestiges of Saddam's WMD programs, and the book will lay out how and why he played the game as he did.

And how our intelligence services failed us, and to some extent why - all through the Clinton years, as well.

Dave - if the US soldiers found a moving truck of WMDs, drove them to your house to show you, me thinkst you would still question their validity!

Beth: Funny quote of the day!
Sister of Stanley Grant Phano, one of the Miami Seven arrested yesterday: "They are wrong about my brother, he wouldn't do such a thing, he is Catholic."

With names like Batiste, Patrick, Herrera and Augustine --- the FBI must have made a terrible mistake.

Richard Reid is such a Muslim name, too.

Or John Lindh.

Don't you have anything better to do?

Posted by: John of Argghhh! at June 23, 2006 5:55 PM

Beth, haven't you heard? These aren't THOSE WMDs!! Silly girl. They aren't the WMDs that the Bushitler war machine imperial dictatorship oil empire sent the poor ignorant most vulnerable and impressionable boys of our country without any other opportunities but the military o war for.

Didn't you know that! tsk, tsk.

JohnBoy, your logic stinks. What has been your contribution? Does primitive name-calling (Bigot) enhance your self-image? I only asked for an honest, knowledgeable Catholic, but didn’t find ONE on Beth’ Comments List. I’ve probably been opposing Islamofascism, or any ‘ism,’ for many more years than you and Beth combined.

I grew up under Hitler, and my family took great risks opposing Nazism, something you obviously wouldn’t have had the conviction or courage to do. Neither did Papa Ratzi’s family

I rather suspect, ABC, that the only "knowledgeable" Catholic you would find acceptable is one that reinforces your own beliefs.

We can dance around this all you want, though I won't bother.

big·ot ( P ) Pronunciation Key (bgt)
n.
One who is strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ.

I fail to see anything in your postings here that deviate muchly.

As for the rest of your stuff - you don't know me, and, since I don't care to know you, I guess it will stay at that.

And I will withdraw from this thread. And I will concede utter, tail-between-my-legs defeat by your rhetorical and historical assertions.

I am undone. You win. I'm too stupid venal and igorant for words to express it.

Thank you for the enlightenment.

these so called WMDs... the defense department stated they were around since 1991 were already degraded.
Quit believing everything that is spewed about Iraq that may agree with your justification on this "war on terror."
Saddam was/is a bad guy but he at least kept his people in check. We handed Iraq over to the Shiite and now we cannot leave there in a timely manner. Is your ideology in support of this war worth our brave soldiers live...I think not!

Posted by: Dave at June 30, 2006 11:51 AM

Dave - unitary nerve agent weapons do degrade quickly. Binary do not.

And mustard degrades very slowly indeed - as people in Europe still discover on WWI battlefields.

Do I think this is worth our soldiers lives?

Yep.

Been there, done that, got a couple of t-shirts, too. Not to mention that VA disability check.
