Ruth's Chris Blogging
So, I'm staying at the embassy suites in Birmingham, Alabama, and the restaurant in the hotel is Ruth's Chris.
Because I do not have a car, and am dependant upon my co-worker for transportation, I am forced, forced, I say, to eat at Ruth's Chris for dinner tonight.
And because the Embassy Suites has WiFi, so does Ruth's Chris!
This has not been a great week - things were not ready here, John has now developed Cellulitis in his ankle and I have hives all over my face, neck, chest, side and legs. On the positive side, the kitchen is closer to being finished - I ran into a problem with rotted subfloor near the sink, so I cut that out and replaced it - but I still have boards to lay and trim to put up.
John stained and sealed the mouldings, but he needs to stay off his feet, so I do not want him to do anything for the rest of this week other than keep his feet up!!!!!!! Well, that and come and get me from the airport on Thursday night!
Oh, my steak is on its way. Yum.
Later!

Garlic mashed taters. And you got their asparagus, right?
Oh yeah, this made my ramen bowl SOOOOO fulfilling(grumble). ;)

Heh. Did she tell me *that* last night on the phone? No... so here I am, foot the size of a planet, (well, it really looks like a balloon animal) slaving away in real agony trying to get my chores done.
Sigh.
Okay. I lied. But she *didn't* tell me that last night. And I had a cold hot dog for dinner because I can't get the microwave plugged in and the kitchen is otherwise exploded.
Sniff, sniff.
Gloom, despair, and agony of feet!
Deep dark depression, excessive use of heat!
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all!
Gloom, despair, and a very narrow hall!
(for using crutches anyway).

Gee John... I can almost see you pickin' a banjo and chewing on a piece of straw.
Sounds like we are all having a heck of a week!

Well it beats Burger King - right?

dammit. I was trying to avoid being hungry.
Feel better. And you tell John that if he doesn't put his feet up I will fly out there and see to it. Cellulitis is nothing to mess with.

Hey, CTG - if you can lay flooring and nail up moulding, then I'm keeping my feet flat onna ground!

John,
Do you mind posting approximately when you're heading to the airport for SWWBO? Since she insists you driving "with your feet up" I want to make certain I'm nowhere near your route.
Not to rub things in, but you missed a lot of fun at the MoCarry picnic on Saturday. Probably for the best really. The large quanties of rich food and all that walking to the firing line to try out yet another toy would have been hard on you.
I'm tempted to volunteer to come over and help you out with the flooring but
1) My ever-indulgent wife already has my weekend planned out.
2) I'm sensitive to certain volatile napthalenes and floor mastic tends to be very bad for me.

Trust me Steve - I would rather have been shooting than hurting.
It's an automatic, and it's my left foot. You pansies in Missouri are safe.

I don't know John, there's still the mental image to bleach back out.
Hope your foot gets to feeling better soon! I've had problems with Plantar Fasciatis so I know that foot problems are no fun at all. At least with PF you can (usually) just bear down on the first few steps and get things stretched back out, even if it is a bit 'intense' doing so.

A good steak sounds awesome right now.
