Mood Swing
I have this crazy allergic reaction to something - we can't figure out what it is - that gives me these lovely rashes on my neck, face, arms, tummy, legs. So the doctor prescribes me mass quantities of prednisone - and it is working. The rashes are disappearing.
However, I feel like a crazy person. I can't sleep, I'm tense, I'm nervous, I'm sad, I'm sure my blood pressure is way up - because of the medication. Fortunately, I take less every day, so I hope to be back to normal in another week, but my heart totally goes out to all of those who take prednisone every day of their lives - bless you all!

Except for the rash it sounds like menopause. Or really bad PMS. ;)
Hope you get weaned off the pred quickly and are back to normal soon... {{Hugs}}

Probably something you stirred up in the remodel. Didn't you mention a patch of sub-floor you had to replace? If there was any mold there that could be the culprit.
I believe John mentioned that your lovely new flooring is of a type that doesn't use nasty adhesives so that's probably not it, but anything else chemical that you might have gotten on the back of a (gloved?) hand and then managed to wipe across your face / neck...
Good wishes on getting done with the meds ASAP!

I agree with KCSteve - it sounds like a reaction, and really like a mold allergy. Our subfloor was covered with it when we ripped up the basement carpet. I had such a strong reaction that I honestly would've preferred death.
