I'm in Washington, D.C.
John and I flew into Baltimore/Washington International yesterday and spent the day walking around the Mall and wearing out our feet!
We wanted to go to the Washington Naval Yard, but we could not find the right exit, and then we were in D.C. and we found a parking garage, parked, and started walking.
Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day - low humidity and a high of about 73 - can't get much better than that in Washington - or anywhere else. I have been to D.C. area many times for work, but I've never seen D.C. and all the government buildings and museums, etc., until now. I fell in love with the Smithsonian buildings

and the many flower gardens

and the White House

and of course, the Washington Monument

today and Sunday, I hope to be able to see more of our historic center of government.

Oh Yeah - To get to the Navy Yard, one has to have alot of luck, for I-295 has the worst signage I've ever seen.

babe...wear better shoes next time. You can't do DC in sandals or heels. Must be well broken tennis shoes. Enjoy and, as I said to John, be careful where you point that camera unless you enjoy things like FBI visits.

D.C. is definitely on my list of want-to-go places. I hear it takes days to get through the Smithsonian...

Lucky you -- you've missed the slew of thunderstorms and return of cold weather back home!
