The thing about Kansas ..
Yesterday, the weather was great. Today, we were awakened by tornado sirens at about 8:00 am. Weather changes at lightning speed here in the Midwest. It is always quite interesting!
Today is my birthday. I'm another year older - 53. Wow. That sounds so old. But I don't feel like I'm 53. I think like I'm a lot younger, at least, I hope I do!
I am having a wonderful life. I am married to an absolutely wondrous man - brains, looks, sexy as all get out. My son is the best ever, and his girlfriend is just wonderful.
My job - well, my life really should not revolve around my job, but I like the money I earn and I love working with my clients.
I guess you could say that I'm mostly pretty happy - despite the ups and downs that just go with life.
I worry about the future - the craziness of those Islamicists who want us to all live under Sharia Law - the manic meaness of so many on the left, and too many on the right, too. I want people to understand what is really important. What our freedom really means. But all too many of them care about only their own, personal issue - hating people on the other side of the political spectrum.
I wonder if they will ever understand that which is threatening all of us now?
Oh, and there are still tornadoes going on in the area. What a day.
