It looks like the Kansas legislature is going to override our evil Democrat Governor's veto of the Concealed Carry law. The Kansas Senate overrode it last night. It looks like the House has enough votes to override it today. It's so about time we had the right to apply for a concealed carry license. Stupid governor, who I will not mention because she just creeps me out, thinks that we will have more gun crime - but as you all know, it's not the people with legal guns that cause the problem.

Shooting up a neighborhood is one thing, but illegaling concealing a gun, that's just plain wrong.

In case you hadn't heard, the override passed in the House as well. It was a resounding victory - I think it may have been by an even wider margin than the original vote.
After the next election perhaps Ms. Sebelius can has Bob Holden for an assitant teaching position.
One humorous bit: from what I understand we non-Kansans will be able to legally carry before you residents. Something about reciprocity kicking in as soon as the law does and long before any applications can be processed.

Boq - the Republican Alternative was... worse.
And Kansas is really still pretty populist in many ways, and Sebelius did some good things as the Insurance Commissioner.
As for the rest... Woot!

Our law in Ohio needs much work, but at least we finally got a CCW law.
Never had one before about 2 years ago...
