Fighting with Visio Right Now
Damn, I hate putting together some documents. I hate Visio. I'm trying to put in about 43 windows servers and I can't get them in three, nice straight columns!
I need a break.

You need to super-size your viewing area so you get more alignment points. Something like 400% or so.

You can use the Alighnment tool:
> Select the shapes that need to be in a line
> Pick Shapes from the menu, then Align Shapes
> Select one of the alignment modes, and click OK
> (Optional) check the 'Create guide and glue shapes to it' option before clicking OK, and you can adjust all of the glued shapes at once by moving the guide.
That might help. Just be sure to only pick the ones that you want to be in a straight line.
