A friend of mine powers his diesel pickup with the old *free* vegetable oil he picks up at a nearby steakhouse once every quarter.

It cost a couple hundred dollars to set up the equipment in the garage to convert it, but now he pays virtually nothing for fuel. He says farmers have been doing it for years... It's a surprise to me!
