My Wardian Case
Here is a picture of my Wardian Case with plants in it before I set it up:

Here it is - almost finished:

I am waiting for the moss I bought on eBay to arrive, so the ground is mostly potting soil right now.
Here it is without moss with the top on:

I still want to find some miniature things to put in it - not sure yet what I want.
I did leave the tiny little African Violets in their tiny little pots, and just sank them, pots and all, into the ground.
The little water fall was a Christmas gift from John's sister. It fits in pretty well, I think.

Beth, no wonder you were so excited to receive your Wardian case, it is fantastic, I am jealous.
Yesterday, Mr.C took me out for my B'day dinner, and on the way home we stopped to do a little shopping. I came home with a bunch of primroses,(as if I don't have enough already) they are the first to bloom around here, and lend some vibrant color to the garden during this time of year.Spring can't get here fast enough.

It's beatiful! Reminds me of a secret spot in the middle of NTA... Green, lush, and inimate... Good for contemplating and thinking small, quite thoughts.

You could use Army Men...? I like the dark green ones with the extra gun detail like the bipod on the prone B.A.R. shooter. . . .
They'd look right nice in there, dontcha' think?
:-)

Is the stand you put it on going to prevent them from knocking it over? Having grown up with the wee beasties I'm not surprised if they don't do things you'd think impossible. That's too pretty to see smashed by feline curiosity.

Actually, the stand is part of the case!
