The 'Chosen One'?????
Just when you can't imagine her saying anything more obnoxious and annoying and stupid, Cindy (Mother) Sheehan had this to say:
"I'm just so honored that the universe chose me to be the spark that has set off a raging inferno.Source"And when I had to leave," she added, "it proved that you don't need the spark anymore, because the fire is burning. And it's not going to go out. If George Bush came out and spoke with me today and we went home, this wouldn't end."
Dean Esmay has a great post on Mother Sheehan.
And by the way, she ain't sounding so Catholic these days - no mention of God?
Only the .... Universe?
Seems the Sheehan nut has cracked.
Sheesh.

Hmm. Gee. When this whole thing started it was supposedly all about sitting down and talking with the President, and wasn't it a shame that he wouldn't give the time of day to a poor grieving mom, all she wanted was to ask him a couple of (impossible to answer) questions. Now we have Sparky Sheehan and the Universal Neverending Fire? Good grief. Somebody needs to tap this unfortunate nut on the shoulder while she's getting her hair styled for the next sound bite, and tell her and the groupies that their 15 minutes are way beyond up.

She is exhibiting what Tammy Bruce (talk radio hostess extraordinaire) commonly refers to as: malignant narcissism. The universe has "chosen" her. Um, yeah. And I couldn't even get nominated to my high school yearbook committee. Imagine how inadequate I must feel! :)
I am terribly sorry for her loss... when I watched my mom and dad lose my sister in 1990 I knew then and there that losing a child is the worst imaginable tragedy... but through her thoughtlessness, she has lost, now, most of the rest of her family, and gained a bunch of nut-jobs in their place. Sad.
