Tampa is my very favorite airport...hands down. And NOT for obvious reasons...it's just laid out well, and they take care of their "guests".

I remember the first time I went to the Tampa airport. I was just barely old enough to to drink, so, you betcha I attended the bar. I remember being amazed at how much of the lower body of the cocktail waitresses was exposed by their uniforms. I also remember having my clarinet searched. It was a very cursory, feel-good search. I coulda smuggled *anything* in that there clarinet, had I a mind to do so. I think that this was in the early 80's.

Mm, no, must make correction. My clarinet was stolen by a roomie I unwisely trusted sometime in the mid-70s. Obviously, I had my cursory-search-and-cocktail-waitress earlier than that , in the early 70s.

My God, I miss the DC6-B, in which I could sit right behind the flight deck, and as a little kid, get invited 10 feet further forward in the airplane to watch the blinkenlights and be amazed!

Kelo vs. New London is the last straw. I am going to start looking for a good rifle.

Yea...a lot of the airports are starting to make you pay for wireless. Aggrivating!!
