I get to go to London for work!
There are certain perks that go with my job - a lot of times, travel is kind of a pain, but getting to go to places like London on occasion make it a lot more exciting.
Just got my tickets - I'll arrive in London on May 22nd, and go to work the 23rd. Then, I will work thru Wed, take Thursday off and come home on Friday.
Good thing it is a long weekend when I come home!
Only drawback is that I can't find a rate where John can come with me or meet me there for a couple of days. ):

Going to London sounds like fun! Shame that you can't get John over there at the same time.
A couple of years ago I travelled via Europe to India - on the way back I met the Hubster in Paris for an 8-day vacation. It was mighty nice of the company to send me to Europe, don't you think? ;-)

It was! I was in India for a month, so we had quite a reunion in Paris, where we stayed near Versailles for 4 days, riding the train into Paris each day. Then we drove to Strasbourg (where I took the pic of the castle in the fog) for 3 days.
When we got to Strasbourg the Christmas markets were all open around the city - mulled wine and fresh bredele ... Yumm!

"Billy Elliot" is supposed to be pretty good, if you have time to catch a show while you're here :-)

Too bad about John and London. I got to take my goddess with me to both Brussels for 1 year and later Honolulu for 2 weeks while on business. But then we had kids and its a lot harder moving 3 with me. Medical school didn't help either...she missed Japan, Bali, Brazil, Italy, and Bejing 'cause of that.
To be young again...
