Boy, I love New Orleans!

When I got up this morning, I had a scratchy throat - you know, the signal that you are about to have a bad cold. It got no better as the day went on.

One of the guys I'm training said I should just stop at a Daiquiri Drive-thru and get a large frozen daiquiri.

So I got a large frozen Pina Colada. You actually drive up and pay and they hand you a big cup full of whatever frozen alchoholic drink you can think up and you drive off into the sunset.

Now, you can't put a straw in the cup until you get to where you are going - then you would have an open container. (wink wink).

Every town ought to have a drive through frozen Daiquiri place. Every town in every country. People would be so much happier!

And the restaurants! I had dinner at ACME Oyster House last night, and the grilled oysters were out of this world

Just across the border from the neighborhood where I grew up in Chicago was a liquor store with a drive up window. No mixed drinks, just cheap beer and rotgut fortified wine. The window faced the alley, driving there was something of an adventure.

Ah yes...The Daquiri Palace!

I love that place...what an idea. Put a little piece of tape over the straw hole so that it qualifies as a "sealed container" and away you go! sigh.....

Gotta love LA.

And Beth....there's the matter of this little challenge put up on Blonde Sagacity. We (the grrrls) promised to put up our best cammie pix in exchange for cammie pix of the guys. And John's Castle guys have been ponying up too! However...John claims to only have ONE picture. ONE? ONE. Come on Beth! Show of that man of yours...send us some pix! Bill already posted his (with an incredible poem), and Keith's go up tomorrow. Sgt. B is hard at work going through his old pix too.

Beth.....use those feminine charms and SHOW US YOUR 82! Whoo hooooo!!!
