Struggling to live

I am amazed at how hard Terri is fighting to live. I had no idea that a human being could live this long with no water. Apparently, politicians and judges have wiped their hands of the matter and the Schindler family has no recourse to save their daughter and sister.

The law does not allow a man to keep his wife from having an abortion if she wants one because it is 'her' body.

How can the law allow a man to decree the death of a woman - after all, it is 'her' body!

Even the euthenasia laws in Holland would not allow this 'mercy killing' because she has not explicitly agreed to it.

Here are the rules inhttp://www.aetheronline.com/mario/Eye-Openers/euthenasia.htm:

Patients must face a future of unbearable, interminable suffering Request to die must be voluntary and well-considered Doctor and patient must be convinced there is no other solution A second medical opinion must be obtained and life must be ended in a medically appropriate way The patient facing incapacitation may leave a written agreement to their death.

No, the pols have moved on to such issues as music sharing. This must be so much more important than a woman's life.

Pardon me whilst I sneer.

Sorry Beth,

Terri is not fighting. She is not, well, anything. It sounds harsh. But it's true.

Michael,
That is not only harsh, but it is as inhumane as the Nazis were to the Jews. I'm very disappointed you could say she is nothing.

Each day, I fully expect to wake up and find Terri has died.

I just can't believe she is being allowed to slowly die by starvation and dehydration. If we did that to a dog, we'd have to go to court, but somehow, this is alright? I don't think so.

There is so much sadness in the world at the moment, it is hard to see the good things right now :(

Does the link on Michael's site reflect an extreme U.S Liberal viewpoint? I'm hoping the comments are coming from kids looking to shock. "Sick" doesn't even begin to describe it...
