It made me so mad when I read that - I live in Seattle!! What amazes me as well is the way 1SG Due comes across in the pic - he looks very calm and composed, given the circumstances. I'd love to treat him and his family to dinner!

[pedant mode] Sergeant First Class is *not* the same thing as a 1st Sergeant. 1SGs are Master Sergeants who are appointed First Sergeant as the senior NCO in company-sized units. Just sayin'. A SFC is one rank, and lots of status, down. [/pedant mode]
