Wish me luck
I have an interview this afternoon to see if I will be accepted into a special program at work that would let me rotate through several different positions over the course of a year or two in totally different parts of the company.
This would increase my knowledge of how everything works, and hopefully make me more likely to be promoted.
But, the call this program something along the lines of the next generation - and I am not the typical nominee since I'm over 50. So I will not hold my breath.
I had at least one project manager tell me that it might not be good for me (but he had an ulterior motive to keep me in the position I'm in).
I have absolutely nothing to wear for this damn interview, it is raining out, so my hair will be as flat and as straight as it can be and the people interviewing me are in their twenties.
Sigh.
Hope they have a sense of humor!

We had a couple of those programs at my old job. Although typically they were people in their twenties, every now and then we got someone over 40 and nobody thought anything of it. In my old company if you were accepted in that program, you were definitely on the 'fast track'.
Good Luck!!!

Sorry you’re going to have a bad hair day, but anyways, good luck on your interview!
I know that I sometimes discount or don't give credit to people in their twenties. Shame on me, because over and over again, I've been proved wrong.
They don't come with the baggage I have, so often they can see the situation with a fresh angle, and often that angle have been in my favor.
My hope is that you encounter the same fresh perspective that I have, and they will see the right person for this career opportunity.
Again, Good Luck!
