The Convention is causing our server problems

Let me apologize to those of you who have received multiple pings from the Carnival of the Recipies post. My Hosting Matters server is shared with other bloggers who are getting so many comments on the convention that the server masters are trying to keep the server up by doing things like killing processes - some are commenting processes and some are saving entry and publishing and pinging processes. I had to publish the Carnival of the Recipies post 5 times for it to show up properly.

And some of you will have to repost comments until they quit killing comment processes.

It's not pretty, but they assure us it will quit soon.

I hope so. This is the first time I've had a problem like this with Hosting Matters - normally they are a great hosting company. But I guess the server we are on is not prepared for the kind of traffic it is getting.
