My Favorite Grocery Store Ever.
There is a small local chain of 16 grocery stores in the Kansas City area that is absolutely the best. The stores are called Hen House Markets.
We do not have one in Leavenworth, but there is one on my way home from work, and occassionally I'll stop there to pick up something for dinner. I did so tonight.
I wish every grocery store was as cool as Hen House is. It is a beautiful store - arranged artfully and logically. I also like the fact that they carry all the local produce they can find. I can buy organic milk, eggs, veggies and beef all produced within about 50 miles of Kansas City.
They have absolutely the best produce section, deli section, fish, chicken and meat section ever.
Tonight, I picked up a quiche for dinner tonight - just 20 minutes in the oven and voila, John and I had a yummy brocoli quiche - and enough for two dinners. Wow, I love that store.

They always have some cool foods you don't find in other places. And they are wonderful stores.

Leavenworth? Do you live in Leavenworth? I lived there from '78 to '82 and loved it.

If John were less secure, he could always call it an egg pie. Traditional Penn-Dutch farmer fare.

John is totally secure in his manliness. And he like quiche - though he prefers the traditional kind with lots of bacon and swiss cheese.
