Good News from Afghanistan
90 % of Afghans are registered to vote.
KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - Nine out of 10 eligible Afghans have signed up for landmark October elections, the United Nations said Sunday, a resounding endorsement of a democratic experiment supposed to help Afghanistan turn its back on years of debilitating war.
I hope all the Democrats and liberals and other general nutcases who don't believe that people of this part of Asia are able to accept Democracy, well, you do realize you are mistaken, don't you?
The Afghans cannot wait to rule themselves.

The experts have always been wrong about the ability of non-democratic nations to acquire democracy.For years it was claimed that Latin American nations and Eastern European nations were incapable of enjoying freedom and now nearly all of them are free. All democracy requires is that the people are tired being pushed around and they aren't being shot at constantly by armed thugs.It is just that simple.
