TV in hotels

Most of the hotels I go to these days have a lot of channels. They have ESPN, ESPN2, CNN, CNN Headline News, MSNBC, ABCDE, ABC, NBC, CBS, HGTV, TNN, etc., etc., etc.

However, only about one out of 10 hotels has Fox News.

It's almost enough to make me want to find out who makes these hotel TV Channel decisions.

I just finished my travel arrangements for Atlanta next week and actually asked if they had Fox News. Oops - in Atlanta? Probably not my brightest question to date.

Wow. I travel within the State a lot and hadn't noticed that. I will now!

this is a real scandal because it is true and it is peculiar.

a. fox news is crap.
b. it doesn't surprise me.

I imagine most hotels just have whatever the local basic cable package is. If they have Fox in that package they'll have it in the hotel. I doubt they're going out of their way to not have it.

Just my 2c.

Ethan - pretty much, anymore, all news is crap. So we like our crap with a little right-wing flavor, as opposed to the left-wing crap you apparently like.

Get over it.

Actually, Calliope, the hotels I stay in - Marriot-owned and Hilton-owned - have satellite tv - they pick and chose what you get to see.

I spent the last couple of weeks in hotels of various sorts, and all but one of them carried Fox News.

What perplexed me was the fact that three of them didn't have The Weather Channel.
