If I had lots and lots and lots of money

I'd have a big weekend party and I'd fly all of my favorite people in the blogosphere here to just have a good time together. John would call it a hen party, probably, anyway, John would be in charge of inviting the blogger friends of male persuasion.

The following is not in any order whatsoever because I really love all of you!
I would invite Joanie, DaGoddess and photographer extraordinaire, Pam, the Security Nana, Samantha, Daughter of Acidman, LeeAnn, Cheesemistress and funniest women on the internet, BeeBee, writer of wonderful stories, discoverer of Speedoman, and creator of wonderful stained glass windows!, Boudicca, brave martial arts mother of three boys, Calliope in Houston, grower of corn and other veggies, Key, the only woman who can tell Acidman how to behave, Tammi, who travels more than I do!, Teresa, who moved her blog without telling me - I had to find out from John, how embarrassing!! And I can't forget Juliette, who doesn't let anyone push her around, DC, not a vegetarian! and of course, Helen - I want to be her big sister for some odd reason, and darling Rosemary (who I have met - twice! and just love her), the Queen of All Evil.

And we would all toast each other with a nice glass of champagne and have a wonderful time!

Oh My God! I made your list! Gasp. Thank you for including me in such honored company! I'm serious. Beth, I love your blog; you're one of my faves and I never miss it. I check in morning and night. And sometiems in between. But I'm not stalking you. Really. :)

And I'll bring the chocolate covered strawberries to go with that champagne!

Well, lessee... in no particular order... Eric, Matt, Trit, Donnie, Jack, Misha, Der Commissar, Jonah, Darth, Kim, Gunner, Harvey, The Bartender, and a couple others my tequila-besotted brain is having trouble recalling.

Bring the party!!!

I'd be there with bells on, babe.

That sounds wonderful, and I'm honored to be included! :)

Thank you, nice way to start my day!

I'd be there so fast your head would be spinning around. If your ever in Houston let me know.

Posted by: BeeBee at July 24, 2004 8:16 AM

Be careful what you wish for, BeeBee! I go to Houston several times a year for classes at BMC.

Wow - I had to click the link to make sure it was really me! What an honor, and what a PARTY!!!!

And just so you know Beth, next time you're in the Orlando area, let me know. I know all the best resturants (including Tammi's Bar & Grill!)

Thank you!

Great! Next time you come to Houston let me know.

Posted by: BeeBee at July 24, 2004 10:29 AM

John - flattered to be included.

Beth - relieved to not be included. I have enough trouble squelching my girly-man reputation as it is :-)

Posted by: Harvey at July 24, 2004 11:32 AM

OMG - thank you so much for including me with all these other wonderful ladies!!! I'm sorry about not telling anyone that I moved... I've been so freakin' busy I was actually trying to find time to POST something at my new place and I ran out of energy for actually telling anyone! LOL. Plus I still have some work to do on links, and moving all the sidebar buttons off of typepad... *grin* I always seem to be running and never catching up - I think I need a party about now!

Let me know when and where. I'm honored to be included on this list.

On the same theme, we're having a blogger/blog-fan get together tonight in Mpls., Keegan's at 5:00 PM, in case anyone is in the area.

The Northern Alliance guys, bloggers who got their own radio show on Saturdays, planned it. Frankly, I'm a little nervous, but I think it will be great fun.

I'll have to blog about it, of course :)

In earlier times I have met with people from online communities, going back to BBS days in the '80s. It has always turned out well. The only blogger I've met so far has been Owen. The plan was that I'd stop by and intruduce myself; his office manager had to chase me out 45 minutes later. I have no doubt but that either of the gatherings suggested here would be a blast.

Harvey, you will get more notice of a barbecue on my porch than you did for that stop by the bar Friday night thing a while back.
