Foolish little mousie.

James.
Poor, pathetic, deluded creature.
You consider yourself to be Old and Evil.
Ha. I was old before your drooling ancestors dropped from the trees.
I was evil before the world was born.
I own you.
Now rub my tummy.

Hi,
I have been reading your blog since May 2, 2004 (a newbie). This evening the images didn't load even after several refresh attempts using IE 6.0. I tried to use my default browser (netscape 4.7) and I got this message.
What gives? BTW, this is a 1st comment...
Your IP Address: 216.58.210.34 is not allowed on my server. No way whatsoever. Go the heck away. In fact, don't ever return. Start your
own darn blog!!!!! (This is intended for that Jerk who is stalking me in my comments - if you aren't that person, Sorry - please hang up and
try again! If you are that person, and you hang up and try again - the restraining order says you can't!

Hey, can I rub your tummy?
Posted by: Da Goddess at May 6, 2004 11:32 PM
Jim - I can answer that for you (I'm Beth's husband). You are probably an AOL user. Beth had a disturbing asshole of a comment stalker and she just started banning any IP he came in on. Of course, given the realities of dynamic IP addressing, that mean's we're stopping the innocent, too, like yourself. Sorry for the inconvenince, and Beth will lift the bans eventually - but if you get that message, just come back during a subsequent session and you should be fine.
As for the graphics problem, my blog has it too, and it appears to be a bandwidth issue, both with our ISP, our blogs (the pictures) and visitors browser settings. Most browsers have a default time setting while waiting for the packets for any particular bit of information to arrive, and timeout if it takes too long. If the paths between you and our server are busy, our server is slow due to demand or memory issues, you are on dial-up or a combination of of these things, can cause you to get broken graphics links. If the text doesn't make it - then there are probably bigger issues at work.
Thanks for the heads-up - you aren't the first to report the problem, so it *isn't* just you!
