Oh, my, even the Village Voice hates Kerry!
The Village Voice wants the Democrat Party to convince Kerry to drop out of the race for President.
WASHINGTON, D.C.— With the air gushing out of John Kerry's balloon, it may be only a matter of time until political insiders in Washington face the dread reality that the junior senator from Massachusetts doesn't have what it takes to win and has got to go. As arrogant and out of it as the Democratic political establishment is, even these pols know the party's got to have someone to run against George Bush. They can't exactly expect the president to self-destruct into thin air.
They go on to suggest that the Democrats could have an 'open' convention this summer.
Of course, if they did that, wouldn't they be eschewing the Democratic Primary Process? Go back to back-room politics? Don't they accuse Republicans of back room politics?
Democrats are doomed this time around, I think!

The apparent nomination of Kerry made me very sad, because I would like to see a good race for the office of President, not what appears to be shaping up. I think it is very important for our system of government to have a good, well rounded debate between differing views and fundamental philosphies on how to govern the nation.
Unfortunately, neither party represents my views, so as usual I will end up voting against a candidate rather than supporting a candidate.
I will reserve my final judgement until before the election, when I have as much information as possible. I won't unequivocally support anyone until then, despite what many say about "Kerry leading us down the path to appeasement of the terrorists" or "Bush being the ultimate danger to our civil rights".
