Darn, I'll be traveling a lot in the next month.
Yeah, I know, I know -what else is new? Houston for 7 days (kinda neat, though, it's a conference and I get to learn new stuff), then Orlando for one week, Dearborn, MI for a week, a week home and then another week in Dearborn.
Oh, the laundry I need to do beforehand. I think I'll work from home on Thursday and take Friday off just to get my laundry ready!!!!!

I go to Houston at least once a year. I love the Ninfa's Mexican Restaurant and Pappadeaux - but I also love Landry's - if you have any suggestions, lemme have them!

Don't forget to check out Goode & Co. Seafood... their grilled shrimp is wunnerful.. and if you find yourself up north near IAH on I45 [actually, it's just down the road from a Pappasito's] there's a place called Huey's that serves up a crispy chicken salad like no other... Mmmmm...
So many great places to eat, so little time...

Boy are you lucky or what! You get to be in Detroit during the playoffs!
If you get a chance and love Mexican and can find people to go with (not a great area to go by yourself) go to Mexican town.

You named my 2 favorite eateries Beth. Ninfa's and Pappadeaux. Carrabba's and the Macaroni Grill for Italian. There are tons of great places to eat around here though. I spend so little time in Houston proper nowadays I don't know what to recommend. Joe's Crab Shack is good. Lots of catfish places around here but I personally don't care for it. Bar B Que. Really this is the place for Mexican food so since you like it you are definately good to go. Pick almost any TexMex place except Pancho's and you'll be fine.
