9/11 was Bin Laden's Fault

My God, people. I am sick of seeing people blaming Bush or Clinton or the FBI or the CIA on the 9/11 attacks. The government did not, I repeat, did not fly commerical airplanes into buildings.

The blame is on the shoulders of Al Quaida and the crazed Islamic Fundamentalists who flew the planes.

Let's just say, Hey, we did not have a crystal ball. We had no magical look into the future. The US government is not a bunch of palm readers.

This 9/11 Commission is apparently playing politics to make a few victims and families of victims feel like something has been done to avenge 9/11.

To avenge 9/11, we need to follow President Bush's lead.* We have to rid the world of terrorists. We have to get terrorists out of Iraq, then continue to get them all, wherever they are. We are not safe until these butchers of innocent people have been destroyed.

This is war. Why can't people understand that? This is war.

*Note to Democrats - Bush is a LEADER - Kerry (and Clinton) are Poll Followers. Normal people CAN tell the difference.

You're right. Like Dr. Rice said: "How do you protect against a generality like 'something big?'".

What would have happened if a month after President Bush took office he declared that he was going to send the Patriot Act to Congress.....?
At least 80% of the population would have thought him insane and impeachment would have followed.

It is only after 9/11 that people have become aware enough - and afraid enough of terror on the home front - to develop the comprehension level they need to accept the Patriot Act and the war on terror.

I think the 9/11 commission, the anti-war protests and the Bush bashing is a way of clinging to the old normal and denying that there is a global jihad bent on destroying America and the West. Even the widows can't face the monsterous face of the truely guilty and need to blame the US as if we are defensable. Denial, displacement and hysterical blindness abound.
