I have been asked in the comments section on other blogs if the Margolis incident has been documented in a newspaper of record.
The answer is yes. The Boston Herald covered the altercation.

So, the Herald's account reads closer to that of Mr Magolis, than Mr Steele's gloss. But since the left's philosophy does not accommodate political violence, perhaps the newspaper (and Mr Margolis) are being too objective in their accounts; nuances have been ignored.
