Well, darn. I'm still not done!
We went to Home Depot again. After John installed the new light fixture in the entryway, we decided we would get the coordinating flush mount fixtures to replace the current, very plain, fixtures in the hallway.
While there, we decided to buy a small 5 cubic ft. refrigerator to put behind the bar.
And one thing after another happened, and though I finally finished all the damned basecoating, I am only 2 doorways into the actual topcoat of the paint.
And, I will have to put on two coats!!!!
Damn!
John assures me, though, that the hallway is the worst because of all the trim.
Once we get to the living and dining rooms, it won't be nearly so bad.
So he says!!!!

I always, always, always assume 2 coats are needed on anything I'm painting. Even if I'm painting over the same color walls. One coat never does it - no matter how the paint is advertised. This is why I truly hate painting - LOL. Mix up some more Margaritas - you'll need 'em.
