Update on John's new computer
Mike, the nice guy who is building John's computer, asked for an infusion of cash today, so he could order parts and take advantage of sales. So far, we have spent $500, and depending on whether John wants a DVD-RW and a CD-ROM or just the DVD-RW, I'll be able to keep the cost of everything under $800.
He can use his old keyboard and mouse and speakers and monitor - the guts of this new pc are going to be fantastic.
I'm getting excited about his soon to be new toy. Just remember, it is a secret!

I can live with a CD-RW dear. I don't watch movies on the computer, anyway.
Not that there is any computer in reality, as this conversation is all fiction and occuring in an alternate, new-computer-free universe!
