Damn, damn, damn!

John has been using my computer all day (I'm on my work laptop) as his is broken and the new one is not yet ready. I just checked my mail and I have a zillion Ice Storm Warning emails from the local weather station.

I hate ice storms. We are only about 20 miles from the airport, but if we really do get 1/4 inch or more of ice, it could take hours to get there.

Damn.

Thank you for the welcome to Kansas. I've actually been out here since '74 and love it. I've seen eagles, hawks, falcons and a ton of other critters.
My location is close to Wichita. Sounds like you are closer to the K.C.K area.

I kinda realized that with a name like Wichidude that Wichita must be where you are. We live in Leavenworth - I came to the area in 1971 when I started college.

I love seeing all the critters we see - Blue Herons, Eagles, Falcons, lots of Hawks. Oh, and I cannot forget our furry friends - foxes, coyotes, squirrels, chipmunks, and our own personal woodchuck.

You're right...Ice Storms Suck. In my neck of the woods..they forecast a direct hit, but all we've had so far is snow.. Gotta love it!!!
