The fires in California are just horrid. I am worried about DaGoddess, and all the others out West. The fires are just as capricious in their destruction as tornadoes are, only, you can't run down to the basement to avoid a fire.

I was in Orange County several times last summer, and drove up into Ventura County on a free day. The landscape was just beautiful - a far cry from Kansas, let me tell ya! Anyway, it is horrifying to see the fires there now. You are all in my prayers, scanty as they are.

And then, on the East Coast, Michele, is faced with a home grown Kansas evil (Topeka, not Leavenworth!) - the so-called Reverend Phelps. I've run into his protests before - a couple of years ago, a young thug was court-martialed for killing a gay serviceman, I believe it was at Ft. Bragg. He was sentenced to many years, or perhaps life - at the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks - (Ft. Leavenworth).

Phelps and his filthy friends protested at the Front Gate of the fort. They wanted the murderous thug to go free for doing the military "a favor". Most people driving onto the fort laughed at him, and he cursed us all to hell.

He is a truly evil man. The only links I could find about him were from his own hateful webpage, and I refuse to link to it. I someone wants to find it, go ahead, I ain't helping!

Anyway, to all the bloggers on the East and West Coasts, be careful and take care of yourselves.
