Some ads irritate me so much . . .
That I blog about how much I hate them.
Currently, the radio ad that I hate the most is the Joseph A. Banks commercial for men's clothing.
I hear it in every city I go to, and I really hate the breathless announcer's fake excitement - "Every jacket, every coat, every sock - 50% percent off!"
Unfortunately, I expect those ads to continue forever, as the retailer is selling men's clothing at a remarkable pace.

A quote I heard many years ago in an Econ class in college:
"A sale is just a way of admitting that the item was overpriced to begin with."
Dunno if you recall the "sale" run by a couple of big name jewelers back in the early '80's - they doubled the price on everything then announced a "half-off" sale.

I like the carpet sellers here for rugs etc. They adore the 90% etc off sales.
Ads annoy me enough that I no longer watch much TV.
