Good work news

Last October, I had to go through a couple of interviews to see if I would be accepted into a program at work. I had to be nominated for it and get recommendations. Yesterday I found out I made it! I was surprised, really, because this is a kind of fast track program for future leaders of the company and I am 51 years old, which is kinda funny, I think.

So I'll be placed in a couple of different positions in the next two years which will give me a wider view of the company - I'll probably do a lot more project management type stuff, and it should end in a nice promotion in a year or so.

I have been getting a bit burnt out on my current duties. I have been doing these system management implementations and support for over 3 years, and though I know it pretty darn well by now, I'm ready for a new challenge.
