I am not happy when journalists mangle military ranks, unit designations, and military terminology; but they are both ignorant and lazy so it is to be expected. But, when MILITARY journalists, public affairs types do it, I come unglued. These people are paid to get it right and their supervisors are paid to train them correctly. Unfortunately, most of these supervisors don't think it a big deal. Do you wonder why public affairs is held in such low esteem?
