PACIFIC OCEAN (April 23, 2013) An F/A-18C Hornet from the Death Rattlers of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 323 begins its ascent after being launched off the catapult of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 11 recently left San Diego for a deployment to the western Pacific region. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Chris Bartlett)

We knew Lex around here, CCO.  Well.  First met him at Sean Dustman's place in San Diego, when he was still on active duty, the Captain hangin' with the Corpsman, and a bunch the rest of us - watching Team America and eatin' Sean's barbecue.
Off we go, into the wild blue yonder ... oh, not Zoomers. Great photo, and yes, reminded me of Lex.
My first thought when I saw the photo was of Lex.
LIke Ron, the pic dinged my memory and thought of Lex (pbuh).
Yup.  Sure miss that man, and his words and insights.
Lex's site was one of a kind, and he is greatly missed.
Yeppers, it was a place where even a Badger and a Weener Dawg could share a good Root Beer and relax.
I thought of Lex, too.
On 6 march it was a year, yet NTSB still only has a "preliminary" on the crash...
Oh God I miss The Captain. Among his many wonderful qualities, he even put up with me.
