Looks like it was fueled with an unlit cutting torch. I knew a guy that used to fill balloons with oxygen/acetylene and set them off. He worked for a welding supply company. This video reminds me of a shooting video I saw a while back. The shooter was firing some magnum rifle from a bipod off a pickup tailgate. The muzzle blast blew out his tail light.

This is the traditional carbide shooting people living in the North do. It's supposed to be done with milk cans, but some people like things a bit bigger! On the last day of the year you can hear the sound of the shooting rolling across the flat meadows.
