Ringing Endorsement

From the Buffoon *er* War Hero that gave us Bammy-Bam.

There are most certainly petunias in need of careful attention in Sedona, I hear.

McCain was indeed a war hero, and I salute him for that.

However, he is now part of the problem in DC, a very big part of the problem, more interested in gratifying his own ego and perpetuating his status as a Senator, not fixing the horrendous problems facing our country.  He is too cozy with his "good friends" across the aisle instead of fighting them on the floor, in committee, and in the cloakroom until they (and their socialist ideas) are defeated.

The only god thing he has done in the last 10 years was ask Sarah Palin to be his running mate, and had he not done so, he would have lost by even greater numbers.

Go home and enjoy your family and indulge in the beneifts of being married to a beer fortune.

Get off the stage, NOW, before you taint the "next" Republican candidate.

His service as a POW was quite good. He wasn't much of a Naval Offiicer however. That's why, even with his name and his Father and Grandfather having been Admirals, he never made it. He made it through flight school only by the political influence of his father, other wise when he drove the Skyraider into Corpus Christi Bay the Navy would have kicked him to teh curb (and they had started the process). Left a faithful wife for the younger, and richer, model. Basically, the man has stained his life and the only high point was his service as a POW.

Frankly, the man is a moron and bufoon. It is long past time for him to go home and stay. Perhaps AZ will find someone that can stand up to him and trade blow for blow and beat him like a drum. He needs to be humiliated in his next election and repudiated.

He has a beautiful wife who owns a beer distributorship.  What more excuse does he need to retire?

Boq, you can take your snark and stick it where the sun don't shine.

I really had to hold my nostrils tightly shut when I voted for McCain four years ago, but I never discounted his war service.

This man served at the pointed end of the spear, wherein his heritage mattered not. The "III" after his name didn't add any magic "+3 to armor protection" to his aircraft. He flew the missions, took the risks, and accepted the consequences. As an enemy prisoner of war, he was crippled by torture, to the point where he even tried to kill himself in despair.

So back off when you make smart-assed cracks like "Buffoon *er* War Hero," holmes, unless you can show that you performed better while in the crucible.

  Respectfully submitted,
    Casey

Um, whoops. I forgot that he also refused early release from the Hanoi Hilton, unless those captured before him were also released.

So please excuse me if -even though I strongly disagree with many of his policies- I react poorly to you buffonish snark...

I didn't come to that determination lightly, Casey.  The legacy of his miltary career, is certainly weighty and worthy of our respect.  It is however, neither a shield to hide behind while you confabulate with Keating and your other 4 Senators; nor a cudgel to beat us with while you piss away the future of our country in the days that followed Sept 15th, 2008.

If there was ever a moment calling for political leadership,  that was it.  Instead, he let Obama take command of the situation, not only in the campaign trail, but behind the closed doors of what was still then the Bush White House.

Political Buffoon that he is.

I have to come down on Boq's side on this. He has truly stained his life and he will be remebered primarily as a traitor to his country because of how he has served politically.

We can say the same about Randy Cunningham. He didn't do the hanoi Hilton time, but he pissed away his honor just as McCain has done.

He could be both a Buffoon and a War Hero.  One cannot hide behind one's legacy no matter how great, so then he may deserve both praise and insults directed at the proper actions.
