Heh!  That was the title given to the 81mm mortar section of my Weapons Platoon way back in pre-Bradley days.  Hadn't thought of that term for years.
 
I have it on good authority (first hand testimony) that when you hit an IED while driving one of those ... you can tell you hit it because there is a big noise and it gets dark and very very dusty really quick.
