Looking out the window from the Armorer's Throne, it was an interesting view - one of the reasons we bought the new Castle. T'is a foggy day at Castle Argghhh! as the north-looking view will attest.

The view to the west, from Firing Point 4, is not quite as foggy, it being uphill and among the higher points in the county.

I slapped those pics into Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, to clean 'em up a bit, and the standard editing tools reveal that a decent digital camera (in this case a Nikon D300 that used to belong to the Auld Soldier) really captures a lot of data. While the pictures above more match the mood that caused me to want to take the pictures... there's amazing detail in the data, as these two edited shots show...

Now the edited view from Firing Point 4.

All that's missing is the sound of the rooster, and the occasional gobble from Tom and Jerry.

Cheers
And Argent grotesquely mis-named our ridgetop.
Heh. We know, in Kansas, that we don't have hills. We have valleys. A nearly meaningless distinction when you're climbing them wearing a rucksack and hauling a weapon.
Or slogging up them through snowdrifts while hauling a standing rib roast and 1.75 liters of tequila.
