A post for Neffi...

Since he was waxing all poetic about Israeli 98K bayonets last week...

[This pic enlargifies.]

Castle Argghhh!'s ex-Israeli 98K bayonet. Instantly recognizable to me because of the Star of David and other markings; instantly recognizable to Bayonet Geeks because it has a muzzle ring.

And no, it has never tasted Armorer-blood, so put a sock in it.

Sweet, but a bit ironic.

Hey, it goes on the Israeli M98k.  Admittedly FN-built, but nonetheless...

Greetings:

Again with the bayonets. And after last week's flood, my bayonetophobia has gone into hyperdrive.
Extra mags are the key. Embrace the 21st Century.

Oopsie- if this is the bayonet in the pic from the previous post, I have erred (the crowd gasps in horror).
You have the Israeli-made M1949, vice the modified ex-Nazi M84/98. The M1949 was newly manufactured with a muzzle-ring and a much heavier and cruder blade... which was hidden by the scabbard in the previous pic.

Neffi - I wondered, as when I looked at it, I didn't espy any "previous ownership" markings.  It is indeed the bayonet from the previous pic.

Regardless, good to know, as pigstickers are not my area of specialization.

11B40, it's not like I carry these as personal arms...  when the Zombies come, the personal arms are *much* newer, and magazine or belt-fed.

With the expection of the streetsweeper at the gate, which relies on... grape and canister for effect.

Pigstickers?! That's hardly kosher...

When the Zombies come I want a mini-gun with the feed chute tied directly to the Lake City plant.

...and some spare barrels, I should think.  And prolly some extra chain, too.

I like the shadow of the point of the bayonet; not often you see a red shadow.

One time I ended up with a new Israeli  made 8MM barrel. After I time I took it to my gunsmith and held it up and told him .... my barrel needs a new gun.

And so it came to pass ... and what a honey it is.
