The intellectual in me says it doens't matter, and, really shouldn't matter.  Homosexual, straight, ambi-sexual, asexual, just keep it to yourself and stay professional, do the job.

The pragmatist in me says that it does matter, because it adds one more layer of "Who is trying to oggle me?" to the mix.  And placing any doubt into the minds of a team weakens it.

The contrarian in me says that if all these special interest groups really want equality, then, by damn, they should get it.  Same grooming standards, same physical standards, same mental/intelligence standars, no segregated berthing, no segregated heads.  Equal means equal.  Or they admit that there is something besides totally blind equality and are engaging in social engineering.

And then there is the sexist pig in me that says 'YEAH!  Two pretty hot babes going at it?  Bring it on!'

That, maybe sadly, seems to be the loudest voice.

It will be interesting to watch the coming conflict between those liberals advocating for an expansion of sharia law in the US and those advocating the expansion of gay and lesbian rights.

Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.  For whatever mine's worth, I think this is disgusting and unbecoming for ANY person who serves our country.  That's where I come from, and I don't take lightly having others try to change my culture!

Pretty much on-board with what you say, Joe, but the cynic in me notes that they managed to find two very attractive women for that feature.

T'would have been poor optics if they had a couple of Holly Graf look-alikes as the winners, no?

It occurred to me after leaving for work that they managed to not pick a male couple. For some reason the sight of two women kissing is more socially acceptable than two men kissing.

P.P.S. Am I the only one who noticed Graf looks just like Gary Busey?

They're *Libs* -- they don't see any conflict between advocating the expansion of shari'a *now* and pontificating on women's rights *yesterday*.

Libs have the threat-discernment capability of gravel coupled with the attention span of a goldfish...
