At least, not according to DoD.
It was merely an incident of Workplace Violence.
I guess the Five-Sided Puzzle Palace's next step will be to recall all those Combat Action ribbons and replace them with buttons reading "I survived Incidents of Workplace Violence"...

The demographic of visitors to the last Job Fair I attended in the Alexandria area was 50% civilian and 50% Pentagon-dwellers-on-their-lunch-break. None of the uniformed types were wearing greens -- they were all in Digi-Cammy and desert boots, and not a one of them had a combat patch.
I'm sure you'd be happy to do that.
And DoD would be *un*happy.
Wotta shame...
Freedom is slavery.
Ignorance is bliss.
Work makes you free.
I don't care if the truth 'hurts' someone, political correctness will kill many more.
Even Stalin balked at that. He insisted that the children receive a trial before they were executed.
Got that, Progressives? Your pet phrase had its origin as a justification for murdering children.
Ah, as Doctor Pournelle says:
"Weep for the Republic!"
But also:
"Despair is a sin."
Considering the mindset of the current administration and its other forays into cognative dissonance, I think we should see this quote in its original language:
Arbeit macht frei...
what an unbelievable level of stupidity...
Oldloadr,
"in its original language" - which is kind of ironic, isn't it??
Yes, I tend to forget the genius of those on the left.
Nevada, you gave the perfect example of the lefts doublethink - Bush was too stupid to pour pee out of a boot with the instructions written on the heel, but an evil genius who was able to plan and execute the attacks of Sept. 2001 and hide it from the entire world.
Oh Lord, please no!
If that got put into effect, we'd have every idiot burocrate pimping for a "combat slot". All that could do is kill extra soldiers for no good gain.
Got just the job for them.
Gate guard on the camel trail from Jalalabad to Tora Bora...
