...an artform not often seen in the political class but which is still practiced in the military (often, not *always*) and well-run business (see prior caveat). In re the post below this one, directing Castle minions to perform a task...

The Armorer is even credited by the author. Well, sorta. She credits all the people (many by name) that helped her with this book and others that are coming down the pike. The Armorer was allowed to read an early draft (three-ring binder - old school!) several years ago and provide feedback.

IIRC, what I provided back was "Me likey!" which, while gratifying, isn't really all that helpful, which might be why I have to squint to see that I get a shout-out... reallllly squint.

That is all.

Oh, wait.  It is not.  Link to the Amazon page: The Last Mage Guardian.  Buy this book!

Now, that is all.

'Bout time! The last installment *I* got to read was in .txt and stopped with Chapter Leben...

Yessss, master. Right away, master.

*Lurches out from behind the curtains and off to Amazon.*

Wow, I rate above *Mine Sweeper*?!11  I've arrived at the Big Time at last!  ;-)  Fame!

SugarButtons, you could have had more if you had dared break radio silence...(Although I don't think you've seen this book before, it might not be suitable for your tender years.  Several paragraphs where nobody is getting shot at, even!)

I purchased a copy for the Nook that the (grown) kidlets gave my wife for her birhtday.

All I gave her was the complete Highlander DVD set.

Now that you mention it, Swords 'n' Sorcery *is* a bit of a switch from the *koff* space mercenary one you were working on...

Hey! I likes space mercenary types. Pournelle's Mercenary books, now distilled into "The Prince" is one of my favorite novel series. Started with "West Of Honor." The second in the original Trilogy "Prince of Sparta" was actually roundly praised and recommended as professional reading among many senior Army Officers. "A good one to read while you're waiting your turn at Graf" one said. Pournelle distills teh wisdom of counter insurgency warfare into the last pages of the book. The series is well worth your time to read. Good yarn and the principles quite recognizable for anyone who has served.

One little warning, though. Like our main host, Pornelle was a cannon cocker in Korea. :-)

That was my *father* who was the cannon cocker in Korea.  Unless you count my trips there in '97 and 2006...
