That's something that some people will never understand.
 
The bloody glove belonged to a dying soldier. The clean one to a medic who held his hand while he passed.  The picture first appeared in the British press and yes they are our men.

Yet another example of the extraordinary people who wear the uniform.
 
A suggestion for Boq:

When you post a photo like this, provide something to explain it.  Until I read the second comment, I had no idea what the hell I was looking at.

I see it more as being about what the flag means than the physical object.  I think she may have very little idea about that meaning so all she sees is coloured fabric.
