Meanwhile, in gunblogger-related news...

...Murray, the NZ portion of the Castle's ANZAC Contingent, is planning to build the World's Largest Fully-Functioning Working Ballista.

He figgers he can do it for about ten thousand Kiwidollars, and, by a fortuitous coincidence, that happens to be the *exact* amount of the prize he's competing for.

So, go here and vote for him -- it'll take all of fifteen seconds (in the interest of full disclosure, I spent ten of those seconds bemusedly wondering why he was wearing a French hankie around his neck).

BTW, the current frontrunner's project is Creating A Ballot-Stuffing Machine So All The Dead Democrats In Chicago, Bahston, And Hudson County, NJ, Can Sleep In On Election Days.

We can't have that, can we? So go vote for Murray and keep JMH (aka the Minicapt) insufferably smug at sussing out a link which works in the Northern Hemisphere...

And just to remind everybody - the site counts votes against e-mail addresses.  You can only vote once from your e-mail address.  And, of course, there is NO WAY anybody could possibly have more than ONE e-mail address.

Just sayin'...

Actually, it works by checking your IP addy and the cookies emplanted therein.

Cookies can be eaten, though -- just sayin'...

Our Kiwi is now atop the leaderboard... it was a tough call, though. Vote for a builder of ancient war machines, or a pretty doctor desiring to administer free health care... a smasher or a healer... Mars or Hippocrates... stones or bones...
Gotta go with the ballista....

I voted but it looks like Murray needs to get some more votes, there are people in triple digits and I was number 93 for Murray.

Our Kiwi is now atop the leaderboard... oops! My bad- the leader has ten times Murray's votes...

UHM, I seem to have 5 different IP's and 6 different e-mails!  Take a day or two!

a pretty doctor desiring to administer free health care...

What she meant was, "administer taxpayer-funded health care," and I'm pretty sure she expects to be paid for doing it...

Indeed.  Liberal doctors and healthcare providers may want universal, single-payer, gov't run health care ... but they don't want a single-provider system.  They demand their "fair share" of the Health Care Reform dollars.  They whine about the "fragmented" HC system, but they all want to protect their own little pieces of the pie.

I voted even though there are many good looking young things to ogle over. It was a tough call, but my loyalty won out.

Murray owes me big time for overlooking some very nice...ah...very nice...wimins.

Yeah, Fishmugger.  We know.  It's all about the Lungs with you, ain't it?  Heck, you're probably the infamous Toejam who comments against Grouchy Old Cripple's Saturday boobage:

My friend built a trebucat for his sons 7th birthday, we took it to the beach and were flinging rocks into the water, bylaw officer came along and said"You can't do that" We asked exactly which bylaw we were breeching, he furiously flipped through his book, couldn't find any bylaw banning trebucats (not sure if I got the speling right) With the arm vertical it was 10' long.

Catapult or designing female swimwear? Tough call, but I must be getting old. Artilllery over that other thing.  ML

And of course the infantry fuel of Copenhagen around the 3 minute mark.

With me trying to quit...sob...
